Happy Thanksgiving and now Merry Christmas

The Aagaards have been on vacation during the thanksgiving break. Although I've been back for a bit I hadn't made time to post anything. We took off to the mountains in Ashville, NC with a bunch of family. We had a great time. It snowed just enough for the kids to have a snow fight so they loved it. TJ is 3 days away from finishing her semester @ UCF. I am very proud of her and we both can't wait until she is done. I was going to try to include some photos but that will just have to wait. Cheers!

Youth Service Recap, 12/05/07

SERIES: A Christmas Story, Simeon TALK: This week we looked at how Simeon eagerly expected God to show up. His story is found in Luke 2 and we amazed by his devotion that led all his focus to be on the birth of Jesus. STUDENT RESPONSE: AVERAGE, we didn't have a "response" time however the students have been responding well to the music as well as our adopt a family outreach. LEADERSHIP: AVERAGE, Nothing went wrong which must mean good leadership was doing its job. One thing I am beginning to notice is that we as leaders are having a ton of fun. It seems like every week were starting 5 minutes late because were messing around so much. When teams have fun together teams stick together. MUSICAL WORSHIP: ABOVE AVERAGE, To me it just seemed like the majority of students were completely engaged during the music. It was clear to me that so many of the students use Wednesday nights to really connect with God. During the music there were so many students connecting with Him in various ways, it was beautiful. ATTENDANCE: ABOVE AVERAGE. All in all God is doing some cool stuff week in and week out and were excited every time to see what He does next.
